The 25-year-old business added to its many state and national awards last week by being recognised as a finalist at the KBDI Kitchen and Bathroom Design Awards.
This latest achievement - a high commendation - comes just weeks after the Kenny Street business took out Best Business and General Services Award at the Wollongong City Centre Retail and Business Awards.
While it did not win the overall title in Brisbane on Friday, managing director Gary Yilman was still excited for Best Kitchens to be highly commended in a field that included national designers.
It was the first time Best Kitchens had entered the KBDI Awards and Mr Yilman said being a finalist was a major achievement for a local company.
Best Kitchens has won many Housing Industry Association (HIA) awards for residential and commercial projects since 2005, including Australian Kitchen of the Year 2010.
The business has clients in Sydney, the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven and has grown from just kitchens to a wide variety of joinery work.
It also provides shop fittings, recently using its expertise to fit out a dental surgery.
Best Kitchens was first established in 1990 on Flinders Street Wollongong, as a small joinery shop.
Now at 27 Kenny Street, it is recognised as one of the best in Australia.
It uses a CAD (Computer-aided design) technologies to create a 3D design for customers to look at before anything is manufactured.
