The name Thomas Love mightn't have meant much to Wolves young-gun Jordan Murray a week ago but the Adelaide City winger will be his inspiration on Wednesday night.
The 18-year-old Love scored the winner for City against A-League powerhouse Western Sydney Wanderers last Tuesday in the first major upset of the FFA Cup.
Weaving and accelerating past four Wanderers' defenders, the Adelaide teen bagged the only goal in City's remarkable 1-0 win.
It's a feat Murray hopes to emulate next week when his South Coast Wolves meet the Central Coast Mariners at WIN Stadium in the round-of-32.
While he may not have stolen the national headlines just yet, the South Coast youngster has been somewhat of a revelation in his own right for the Wolves this season.
The Illawarra Premier League product has scored five times in the league and twice in the Waratah Cup this season since he marked his debut with a brace in May.
But none would be more important than finding the net on Wednesday.
"If I score, there will definitely be some celebrations going on," Murray said.
"It is not my decision to pick the team but I will do everything I possibly can at training to make the starting eleven."
Murray admits a repeat of his infamous "leaping salmon" celebration seen on his debut could be on the cards if he scores against the Mariners.
But the teen also had bigger plans in mind.
"The coach of the first grade [Mariners] and maybe their youth grade coach will be there, or maybe even a coach of another A-League team.
"So it is definitely what I think is a huge opportunity to prove myself in front of those guys and hopefully get an A-League gig," he said.
"It is going to take hard work and effort but hopefully I can get a good run."
Murray had trialled at Sydney FC with teammates Ben Zucco and Darcy Madden earlier this campaign but failed to secure a contract.
Nevertheless, the South Coast talent experienced a drastic rise from local league player to potential national stardom this campaign.
"I didn't expect this at all when I came to the Wolves," Murray said.
"For the Wolves and this community to get something like that is a great boost for the numbers."
Murray and the Wolves will round out their preparation's for next week's match with their final NSW National Premier League fixture on Sunday.
South Coast will host APIA Leichhardt at WIN Stadium before they host the Mariners three days later at the same venue.
