"I draw for me, not somebody else," said April Quinn.
At 83 years of age, she is the ranking senior member of the 100-strong life-drawing group.
"What I make might not be wonderful, but I enjoy what I do."
Since 1995, the group has met each Tuesday morning to draw live models at a small studio above Lever's Art Supplies on Flinders Street in Wollongong - hence the group's name.
The exhibition at the old courthouse rolls around each year, letting experienced and beginner artists alike show their work.
"It's an addiction for me," Ms Quinn said of her energy and motivation to continue painting into her later years.
"I've always drawn since I was a little girl."
Life On Flinders opened on Friday night. The exhibition is open 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday at the old courthouse, corner of Cliff Road and Harbour Street.
All works are for sale.
