The centre put out a call for people to donate second-hand runners in good condition.

Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery joined Beaton Park Leisure Centre's Kathy McCarthy on Friday to hand over the shoes to Scott Dempsey, from St Vincent De Paul, and Kylie Elliott, from Wollongong Women's Refuge.
