After the success of last year's Vintage Ball for Doris, a homage to her beloved miniature English bull terrier, she decided to host the event annually.
Tickets for this year's ball, on August 23, sold out nearly two months ago.
"I think people love to go out, especially something where they can dress up," said Ms Felton, owner of Wollongong store Something For Doris.
"The vintage theme is a little bit quirky and people really love getting into it."
This year's event will have a '50s Las Vegas lounge feel and guests may even be able to secure a sloppy kiss in the ball's own Little White Wedding Chapel.
"We'll have our chapel picture booth so people can have a picture with a bull terrier, waiting to get married," Ms Felton joked.
Dogs are a central feature of the ball, with all proceeds going to dog rescue organisations.
"I really wanted to do something to support dog rescue as I think it's so important, especially with the number of dogs that are euthanised in shelters," Ms Felton said.
"I was sitting around with some girlfriends one night and thought, 'Let's organise a ball' so we did - Doris is a dog that just keeps giving me ideas."
The ball will be held at the Illawarra Master Builders Club from 6pm.
