Packer, Gyngell brawl wasn’t over me: Kerr

Miranda Kerr says she wasn’t the cause of James Packer’s infamous bust-up with Nine Network boss David Gyngell.

Kerr has told London’s The Sunday Times they weren’t fighting over her, as rumours of her romance with Packer continue to fuel headlines.

Kerr says she’s still single and has rubbished claims the duo are romantically involved.

Packer lashed out at Gyngell after he saw a Channel Nine news van parked outside his home, and reports speculated it was trying to catch Kerr visiting the casino mogul while she was in Australia on business.

Downton stars mock water gaffe

Downton Abbey stars have shrugged off a recent embarrassing blunder by posing for a charity photograph while clutching water bottles.

Show bosses were left red-faced last week when a modern-day water bottle was spotted in a promotional photo of actors Hugh Bonneville and Laura Carmichael dressed in character for the period drama.

The snap went viral online, prompting producers of the drama to remove it from the Downton Abbey website, but now the stars of the show have responded with a new photo to help promote a charity campaign.

The image features 17 of the cast dressed in modern clothes, looking suitably embarrassed and holding bottles of water.A caption alongside the snap reads, ‘‘The cast of #Downton embraced ’water bottle-gate’ today.’’

The post on Twitter contains a link to WaterAid UK, a safe water and sanitation charity, and in a statement the organisation’s bosses reveal the Downton Abbey stars had suggested the fundraising stunt.

A spokesman writes, ‘‘After seeing the reaction the picture caused earlier this week, the cast and crew came up with the idea of turning some of this attention towards an issue around water that really matters.

They hope that by posing for this picture they will be able to raise awareness and amplify the work of international charity WaterAid.’’

Demi Levato’s new way to get thrills

Demi Lovato says she has swapped drugs for more natural highs.

Lovato entered Timberline Knolls an Illinois treatment facility in 2010 to deal with ‘‘personal issues’’.

On a recent trip to Bora Bora, the singer jumped into the water with sharks and stingrays. Speaking after the experience she said she now finds joy in adrenaline pumping experiences .

‘‘I was in Bora Bora and I had the opportunity to swim with stingrays and sharks and I want to be a f***king bad-ass. I’m, like, an adrenaline junkie. I can’t be a real junkie anymore, so I have to be an adrenaline junkie. I jumped in and there were, like, 13 sharks and 20 stingrays, but I held a stingray and hugged it.’’
