The New Lake Entrance Road store is set to close by August 24, leaving its 32 employees without a job.
The store is the latest casualty of the demise of the chain’s parent company, Discount Super Group (DSG), which collapsed in July.
Dozens of Sam’s Warehouse and Crazy Clarks stores nationwide, including outlets in Wollongong and Warilla, have since shut.
The Shellharbour store – one of the biggest in Australia – will be one of the last to close.
All other remaining outlets nationwide are also set to shut by August 24.
A spokesman for KordaMentha Restructuring, which took hold of the stores when DSG collapsed, said it was confident employees would receive all outstanding entitlements.
He told the Mercury the receivers hoped to pay the 2400 workers, owed a combined $10 million in unpaid entitlements, by mid-September.
It is unknown how many workers in the Illawarra are owed money.
All outlets have been holding closing-down sales, in the hope of raising the money to pay the outstanding entitlements.
The chain’s demise has forced more than 50 people in the region out of work, including 22 casual staff, six part-timers and four full-time employees at the Shellharbour store.
By August 24, all 143 shops nationwide will be closed, affecting 1400 employees.
DSG was placed into voluntary administration by owner Jan Cameron, best known as the founder of outdoor goods retailer Kathmandu.
It is the second time in two years the brands have been handed to receivers.
