The Illawarra Academy of Sport held a Netball Fastday at the University of Wollongong last Sunday. The day was a huge success with all the region's netball associations sending in eight of their talent identified players aged 13 and 14, giving them first-hand experience as to what the IAS has to offer.
Association and Academy players were divided into teams to play in the Fastnet format from 9am-12pm followed by a barbecue lunch. The session was the last of the year for the netball squad with the 2015 squad starting their involvement with the Academy in October.
