Morris broke his ankle in a race fall in April and spent four months on the sidelines, returning three weeks ago. But with trainer KerryAnn Turner he was able to qualify five runners for the rich finals.

He will also drive Bad Habbott for Russell Commens in the three-year-old trotters' final, which is one of three of his drives that have drawn gate one.

"When you're driving in big races you want every advantage you can and you're always happy to get gate one," Morris said. "But to get three ones and a two [for Lettucesomehere in the two-year-old fillies' final] ...

"When I was out, these are days you are thinking about and hoping you can have a drive but to have five with good draw is exciting.

"The three-year-old fillies  [Starzzinthenight and Our Artistic Leigh] drew the second row but you can't have it all.

"We don't have any favourites but they are going really well and have the draw to be in their races."

Morris believes Lettucefib is his best chance of causing an upset on a day of 10 group 1s races.

"I thought he was very good behind Bit Of A Legend [NZ] in the heat," Morris said.

"Everyone knows how good Bit Of A Legend is and even though he has got 13 and we have one he is probably going to be too good for us. But we we get the chance to beat him if he is off his game.

"I think we will be using the draw with most of them and with the big money on offer hopefully they can run cheeky races."
