Three people rescued from floodwaters in Moruya

Three people have been rescued from the roof of a four-wheel-drive vehicle caught in a creek just west of Moruya.

The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter responded to a distress call about 8.30am with reports three people were stuck in a car in a creek.

Two SES crews and an ambulance also attended the scene, and the people, two women and one man, were winched to safety shortly before 10am.

The Batemans Bay Post reported the trio were trapped in a car on Donnells Creek Road, 10km west of Moruya.
