A car rolled on the Princes Motorway at Cataract Creek shortly before 7pm.

Ambulance NSW Illawarra duty operations manager Inspector Norm Rees said it appeared the male driver lost control of the car and spun, rolling the car into the nearby bush. One southbound lane was closed to traffic.

He was taken to Wollongong hospital for further investigations of his injuries.

Further south, two vehicles collided shortly after 6pm on the Kiama bends at Kiama Heights. One northbound lane was closed. No one was injured.

Inspector Rees urged drivers to take care in the rain.

‘‘Just slow down and drive to the conditions. It’s not worth rushing around anywhere," he said.

Earlier in the afternoon, two southbound lanes on the Princes Motorway in West Wollongong were closed after a multi-vehicle accident.

The crash occurred shortly after 5pm about 50 metres from the Mount Keira Road overpass, said Wollongong police Inspector Brian Wyver.

One man was taken to hospital with a cut to the head, said an Ambulance NSW spokeswoman. At least two vehicles require towing.
