Sophia, who has featured on US reality show Dance Moms and came to fame when she broke the world record for the number of pirouettes when she was 11 years old, visited The House of PA performing arts studio at Corrimal to meet fellow dancers.
Sophia and her teacher, Rachel Sebastian, then took junior and senior students through choreography and technique classes.
Studio owner Kaitlin Patterson said 73 students from dance schools across the Illawarra signed up to take part.
"Because all our kids are dancers, watch YouTube videos and Instagram and that sort of thing, they're all followers of hers and they absolutely love her because she is such a really great dancer," Ms Patterson said.
"She's pretty much famous for that age group, from six years of age anywhere to 18 years of age, even the mums are a bit crazy over her as well.
"It's always good to keep the kids inspired - that's what we're all about - we always try and have different people down to hold workshops."
