The year 7 Illawarra student has been a vegetarian since the age of seven. She loved meat, but watching a TV show where animals were killed put her off.
She eats dairy and seafood, and though she loves bread and pasta, she tries to avoid both these days.
"Probably in the last 12 months she has become very conscious of what she eats," Natasha's mum said.
"She reads the ingredients of everything and especially looks at the sugar content. Only very, very occasionally does she eat junk food."
Natasha has a book in which she writes down what she eats every day and tracks her exercise.
"She exercises every day, either with sport activities or going for a walk. She does a set of exercises in the morning and evening."
She follows many "health" pages on Instagram. Her mother questions how healthy these sites are.
"The pages are filled with thin-looking fitness professionals in brief, sexy gym gear, posting recipes limited in carbohydrates and fats and countless exercise programs," Natasha's mum said.
"When I went onto her Instagram page, I was actually really quite shocked to see just how many she was following.
"She has never said she thinks she is fat or anything like that, but I think now she is becoming quite conscious of how she looks and what she wears.
"I don't believe she wants to be skinny but she definitely wants to look like what she deems fit and healthy, as in muscles and abs."
