Geelong has committed all of its players to attend a drive-driving education course typically reserved for people who have lost their licence for that offence as part of its response to ruckman Dawson Simpson's blunder last weekend.

Simpson, 25, has been fined $2000 by the Cats for being caught by police with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.1 per cent.
That penalty is in addition to the standard police penalties imposed on him of a 10-month suspension of his licence and a $700 fine.
Geelong also insisted Simpson fit an interlock breath-testing device to his car for at least six months, at a cost of $1400, once he regains his licence, after being told by police it was not yet mandatory for his level of drink-driving offence.
The Cats' internal penalty, for which their leadership group was consulted, did not extend to Simpson being excluded from selectionat any stage next season.
Geelong chief executive Brian Cook said the decision to commit Cats players to the eight-hour course, to be completed over four sessions, demonstrated its intent to "educate the entire playing group to the consequences of drink-driving".
"We are relieved that nobody was injured by Dawson's actions, as there is obvious potential for serious accidents when somebody is driving while impaired," Cook said.
"Dawson will need to demonstrate through his actions that he learnt from this."
The TAC is yet to announce whether its sponsorship of the club will be affected by Simpson's conduct.
