The Kiama Public School student has enjoyed a breakout 2014 in team and individual pursuits.
A promising footballer, Chisholm is in his first eligible year of Football South Coast's elite Skill Acquisition Program (SAP). He spends three nights a week with the best coaches, before playing in Sydney every second weekend.
Hundreds try out for SAP, but only the very best are selected.
Football isn't Chisholm's only love. Last Friday, he was part of the Tongarra District team that won a silver medal in the Teams 8 to 9-years 2000 metres state cross-country championships.
A talent in football and running might come hand-in-hand, but Chisholm has surprised his family with huge success in wrestling. Grandfather Raymond Brown was an Olympian, and father Julian held numerous national titles from youth to adult.
Julian's uncle Don Brown coaches at Lake Illawarra PCYC, and was a wrestling referee at the Sydney Olympics.
Following just a couple of trials and some sessions with older brother Kel, Chisholm won the 32 kilogram gold medal at the NSW Youth Wrestling Championships in August, then claimed the 32kg gold medal in the National Youth Wrestling Championships in Melbourne.
The family welcome the success, while ensuring their son values the spirit of competition and participation.
