What a day the Yours and Owls birthday was! Great weather, a packed crowd and some incredible music. For a first-time festival, the day ran very smoothly and there seemed to be few complaints from fans. Wollongong showed it wants and needs a festival like this - here's hoping it can become a regular occurrence.

■ The Music Farmers guys have announced they will be moving on from their famous Crown Lane warehouse in January. "The rent on our building is going up so we're on to greener pastures. It's exciting to be moving to a fresh new space even though we do leave behind a fair history in the building here," the team said in a Facebook post. Music Farmers hosted shows from the likes of Bonnie Prince Billy, Tiny Ruins, Bad Dreems and My Disco in their eight years in the warehouse. Good luck to the guys!
■ Indie-rock favourites The Bungalows have released a long-awaited taste of new music, recently unleashing new single Roll. The band recently supported Sticky Fingers at a sold-out Metro Theatre, and no doubt we'll be hearing more from them soon.
■ Metal legends LORD have unveiled a box set, collecting music from their years when the band was known as Dungeon. The four-CD collection is almost totally sold out, but the band have offered up re-recorded versions of some classic old tunes - see Lord.net.au for more info.
■ Music, art and tacos - if there's a better combination, I don't want to hear it. Mexican cuisine institution Beach Burrito is opening in Globe Lane in mid-October, and their three levels will be bulging with creativity. Their opening weekend, from October 17, will be filled with acoustic music, DJs and a band or two, alongside a stack of art and other fun stuff. I'll be spending a lot of time there.
■ Dead Letter Circus have announced a big tour in December and will stop off at Waves nightclub on December 21. They're bringing Sleepmakeswaves and Voyager too.
■ The NOFX show at Waves on November 9 will see Aussie legends Frenzal Rhomb joining the bill. Tickets on sale now and going fast.
■ Trophy Eyes will play Rad Bar on November 17 as part of a tour in support of new album Mend Move On. Joining them will be Endless Heights, Landscapes and Columbus.
