The title was in the balance until the last end, with the Citos team of Terry Seton, new signing Aaron Spears from Warilla and Illawarra representative Zoran Bosev finishing just a shot back as runners-up on 3wins+28 to split $600.
The family team of Peter Ellem, Stu Ellem and Daniel Ellem were a close-up third with 3wins +27 to share $300.
The individual game winners were Rob Lawrence, Matt Cooper, Dennis Cooper (composite, Game 1); Craig Thompson, Trent Thompson, Ricky Thompson (composite, Game 2) and Jordan Taylor, Glenn Taylor and John Ferguson (composite, Game 3).
Dapto Citizens also confirmed they will host the State Pennants Grade 1 finals in 2015 in a coup for bowls in Zone 16.

Dapto victors
Dapto Bowling Club’s recent run of success in Zone 16 events continued with Graham Wonson and John Holloway taking out the Illawarra Champion of Club Champion Minor Pairs.
The Dapto combination beat Albion Park twins Cliff and Maurice Bunker 21-8 in the final at Corrimal last Sunday. The tournament was open to more than 20 Illawarra Zone 16 Minor Pairs champions in 2014.
Wonson and Holloway were emphatic winners of four matches over two days, with their closest match a 14-shot victory over Oak Flats champions William Walton and Scott Fackender in round two.
It has been a big few weeks for Dapto, with John Bonham winning the Illawarra Rookie Singles for a second straight year and off to the state rookie finals at Raymond Terrace BC on November 1-2.
Dapto BC have around 400 bowling members and is also represented at the week-long State Championships Finals at Ettalong Memorial BC, with Joseph Cox and Ray Connell the Zone 16 President’s Reserve Pairs.
The Dapto pair will now play for the state title.
