The politician was among a number of "celebrities" who flipped burgers and poured thick shakes for the community at McDonald's restaurants across the region for the 24th annual McHappy Day.
Mr Park worked for the fast-food chain for eight years during high school and university and was only too willing to return to Woonona McDonald's to support the cause.
Since its inception, McHappy Day has raised over $28 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities which provides much needed programs and services for seriously ill children and their families.
The fund-raising goal is $3 million this year - which equates to more than 23,000 nights accommodation in a Ronald McDonald house.
"Many local families have stayed at one of the 14 Ronald McDonald houses over the years and most nights these houses are at capacity," Mr Park said.
"(For families) to have a place they can stay in that is close to their child is so vitally important."
Not to be outdone by his political rival, Kiama MP Gareth Ward also donned the McDonald's uniform for two stints on Saturday - at the Albion Park and Bomaderry restaurants.
