As a muso, there's nothing like jamming in a soundproof room where you can turn your amp up to eleven and rock out like a crazy person with your fellow bandmates.

However, not everyone has the luxury of being able to rehearse in the comfort of their own home due to a lack of space, angry neighbours or the fact that their partner is trying to watch the latest episode of Offspring.
And that my friends, is why musicians need rehearsal studios.
Aspire Studios has now officially opened its doors as a new rehearsal space in the Illawarra and to celebrate, the studio will host a competition where the winning band will receive a month's free rehearsal time as well as a free album recording by Jar Studios, album artwork by Michael Brunt Design and a professional photoshoot by Wicked Bee Productions.
Free rehearsal time and photoshoot are also available for the second and third place winners.
A new rehearsal space in the Shellharbour area has definitely been needed, with Aerosound closing its doors just two years ago.
Every time a band rehearses with Aspire Studios they receive points which then go towards their total. The band with the most points wins.
Directors Dan Southern and Ben Spinelli want Aspire to mean more to bands than just a rehearsal space. Aspire Studios is on Durgadin Drive, Albion Park Rail.
To register for the competition call 4256 1976 and leave a message with your band name and contact details. For more information visit facebook.com/aspirestudiosau.
