The former Dragons star, who admitted to having some nerves about participating in the series, has been impressing the judges each week with his skills on the dancefloor.
On Tuesday night, he performed a salsa to MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This, which garnered he and partner Masha Belash a score of 29/40.
His construction worker costume, complete with hard hat and vest, went over well with judge Helen Richey.
‘‘I’m so glad I’m not dead yet,’’ she said.
‘‘The workman outside my house don’t look anything like you. I would have hated to miss this series for so many reasons.’’
Fellow judge Kym Johnson described the routine as ‘‘very cool’’ while Todd McKenney found it ‘‘very entertaining.’’
Former Australian Idol judge Mark Holden was sent home with a score of just 12 points for his stint as a shirtless Vladimir Putin.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesday at 7.30pm on Prime.
