Around 290 players from across NSW and interstate played singles and doubles in the Tennis Australia Silver ranking event.
Promising boys and girls featured over three days in four age divisions - 11 years, 12 years, 14 years and 16 years.
Talented Thirroul teenager Shion Watabe justified her prize No 1 seeding by taking out the 16 girls' singles, beating Hinchinbrook's Natalija Todorovic in straight sets in the final.
Cambewarra's Sophie Phillips was among the major surprise packets, taking out the 12 girls' singles. Seeded 11th, Phillips beat Ningali Forest-Freeman of Newcastle 6-4, 6-1 in the final.
Cambewarra's Connor Johnson was seeded four in the 14 boys' singles but showed his class by winning the event, beating Wilson Hou (Beecroft) 6-4, 7-6 in a tight final.
Johnson and Mt Ousley's Adam O'Shannessy reached the semi-finals in the 14 boys' doubles.
Illawarra's Anton Willett made it to the final of the 12 boys' singles.
Seeded four, Willett lost a high quality decider to Mosman's Spencer Reynolds 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Camden's Trent Marlin made the semi-finals in the 14 boys' singles, plus won the doubles with Mathew Hai-Loon O'Sullivan.
Merimbula's Scott Gardiner and Emil Thanning (Burradoo) won the 16 boys' doubles.
Finals were held at Wollongong's Beaton Park, with other local clubs Aces, Collegians, Bulli and Meadows hosting matches in a successful event for the region.
It is a big few weeks for tennis in the region, with Wollongong hosting the NSW Wheelchair Championships from October 31 until November 2.
Wollongong will host its Centenary Dinner on Friday November 7, and that will be followed by the qualifying rounds and main draw for the Pro Tour event on November 8-16.
