The four-round annual championships feature some of NSW's best young surf lifesaving talent, with Thirroul sending 30 juniors to last Saturday's series opener.
Thirroul had a number of impressive individual athletes, led by Alaska Stuart, who won the beach sprint and was second in the flags in her girls under-8s division.
Alaska's sister, Sienna Stuart, was fourth in the girls under-14s board event, with their brother Zen eighth in the board event for the boys under 12s.
Promising Brock Rowcliff, competing in the boys under 12s, finished sixth in the board and ninth in Ironman, with Darci Air eighth in board in girls under 13s.
Sophie DeLuca (girls under 12s) was ninth in board, Tori Shipton (girls under 8s) was fourth in flags and Samara Turner (girls under 8s) fourth in the beach sprint.
"The whole club went well. Even those who didn't make finals did their best, and many finished in the top 20," Thirroul Junior Surf Lifesaving Club spokesperson Nicole Air said.
"The Sydney clubs are hard to beat and very strong, but we would have finished as one of the top Illawarra clubs and were very happy with how we did in round one."
Many of the juniors backed up for the club's regular Nippers carnival last Sunday.
Thirroul host the final round of the Sydney Water series, which comprises a juniors event on November 29 and seniors event on December 6.
