The development, to be built at 1-9/35 Yellagong Street, will be surrounded by a council reserve and have a sunny northeasterly aspect.
Ray White Wollongong principal Chris Stylis said the designs included four bedrooms or three bedrooms plus a family room.
Each terrace has open-plan living, a study, three bathrooms and spacious double garages. A detached three-bedroom single level villa fronts the development.
Mr Stylis said Farrington Park was located near a general store, bus stop, parks and schools, and was only 2.6 kilometres to the university and 3.2km to the city centre.
"Vendors can buy off the plan and save, and first-home-buyers' grants and discounts on stamp duty are available," he said.
There are nine terraces in the development and the starting price is $519,000.
Beach frontage
Luxury beachside apartments at Kiama - being built on the old Kiama Ocean View Motor Inn site - are available for sale.
The architecturally designed apartments at 9 Bong Bong Road, priced from $399,000, are being sold off the plan.
Mark Spinelli, of Spinelli Real Estate, said one, two and three-bedroom options were available, as well as a penthouse.
All apartments have wide frontage to the beach and ocean views.
Mr Spinelli said the features included state-of-the-art kitchens with German appliances, induction cooktops, and Caesarstone island bench tops; ultra-modern bathrooms and ducted airconditioning.
The apartments would be built in a fully secured complex with underground parking and lift access, he said.
Close to Waterfront
The final release of land lots at Shell Cove for 2014, positioned within walking distance of the Waterfront, are on the market.
The Red Sands land release from Australand and Shellharbour City Council features 24 lots, which range from 389 square metres to 699 square metres.
Prices for the land lots range between $345,000 and $460,000.
Australand NSW residential division general manager Nigel Edgar said the Red Sands land lots were the closest to the Waterfront of any lots at Shell Cove to date, allowing residents to maximise the master-planned community's beachside location. They also adjoin pristine wetlands and parklands.
Mr Edgar said the land lots occupied stunning locations with easy access to Shell Cove's highlights and amenities.
"Red Sands is the closest land release to the Waterfront to date, so residents will be just a short stroll to the vibrant marina lifestyle that the Waterfront will provide, as well as being close to wonderful parklands and wetlands," Mr Edgar said.
Sold above reserve
McGrath Estate Agents Wollongong & Thirroul director Trever Molenaar has sold two luxury Illawarra northern suburbs properties, which have attracted strong sales prices.
A four-bedroom, architect-designed home at 72 Lachlan Street was sold off market for $1.9 million.
"This is a street record and one of only a few homes on the western side of Lachlan Street to break the million-dollar mark," Mr Molenaar said.
Set on a 6526 square metres block, the home has a large north-facing deck, heated lap pool and an outdoor fireplace.
A five-bedroom home at 558 Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Wombarra, sold for $1.317 million at auction, which was $342,000 over the reserve price. Mr Molenaar said the six registered bidders hailed from the Illawarra, Sydney and the Southern Highlands.
Cottage over $1m
A three-bedroom cottage at 34 Trinity Row, Bulli, has sold under the hammer for $1.345 million.
The weatherboard home with carport and garage was sold by One Agency Sally Absalom to a Sydney buyer.
The home, which has been held by the same owner since 1995, has spectacular ocean and coastal views.
Ms Absalom said the auction was watched by about 100 people, including eight registered bidders.
During the three-week campaign, the agency held five open houses and conducted 83 inspections.
The bidding started at $990,000 and there were 43 bids during the auction.
"At One Agency we believe in holding auctions on-site, instead of in rooms, because it creates desire for the property and gives the buyers one last opportunity to take in what they are going to be bidding for," Ms Absalom said.
"It brings emotion into the equation. We firmly believe that this property would not have achieved this price unless it [the auction] was on-site."
