About 300 talented under-11 and under-12 boys and girls from across the state took part in trials for just 30 spots in NSW boys and girls teams in each age division.
The competition rotates between Auckland and Sydney each year with NSW the defending champions heading into the January 18 carnival at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
Wollongong City's Tate Harland and Hannah Crinnion made the NSW under-12s team, with brothers Isaac and Jett Link plus Brooke McCabe selected in the under-11s team.

The Wollongong City contingent will bring elite running, throwing and jumping skills to the NSW squad.
Competing in long jump at the trials, Hannah Crinnion and Jett Link leapt 4.77 metres and 4.68m, respectively, for massive personal bests.
Jett also produced a personal best in discus.
Hannah showed her versatility by being selected in the 100m and 200m plus long jump, with Tate to represent NSW in high jump, shot put and discus.
Brooke McCabe will represent the Blues in the high jump and 400m, while Jett and Isaac Link have both made the high jump squad.
Jett will also compete in discus, long jump and the 100m, with Isaac to show his versatility in the 400m plus shot put.
