Coledale Public School has emerged as the national winner of the 2014 Muffin Break Great Bake Sale after some frantic Facebooking by parents at the last minute.

The school beat 3905 schools to win $4000 in cash alongside 1000 muffins, which will be sold to raise funds for an outdoor kitchen for the school.
Billy and Maggie Banyard helped their mum, Chantal, and other members of the P&C Association to secure pole position in the social media-based voting campaign.
"We messaged businesses and places to get people to vote when they came in and messaged other people to vote," Billy said.
The school was narrowly pipped in an overnight takeover bid by a competing school.
"On the closing day, another school overtook us at night, so a bunch of mums had to get on Facebook and tell more people to vote," Billy said.
Billy already had business suggestions on the best way to sell the prize.
"We have a little market stall every second Sunday where we sell drinks and sausage rolls to fund-raise, so I think we might sell them there," he said.
The school was recently accepted into the Stephanie Alexander kitchen-garden program that connects growing fresh produce to meal preparation.
The school's permaculture garden produces enough to be sold and used in canteen lunches and an outdoor kitchen would be a connecting facility in the school's sustainability and nutrition program.
Maggie was especially excited about learning how to cook.
