It was a case of life imitating art in Nowra on Sunday night during an attempted robbery when the owner of a Chinese restaurant produced a bigger knife than the robber, who fled empty handed.

It was just like the scene from Crocodile Dundee, when Paul Hogan produced a giant hunting knife and uttered those now legendary words “That’s not a knife” to deter a would-be robber.
Instead of downtown New York, it was the Delicious Canton restaurant at the bottom of the Egans Lane car park in Nowra.
Police said at around 10.30pm , a male, described as being 180 centimetres tall, thin build, wearing a dark hoodie and black shorts, entered the restaurant.
Armed with a knife, the man also had black material across face concealing his identity.
The man approached the owner of the restaurant, which still had customers inside, with the knife demanding cash.
The owner went back into the kitchen and returned with a bigger knife than the offender, who ran from the restaurant.
Police patrolled the nearby area but found no trace of the thief.
Officers spoke to a number of witnesses from inside the restaurant and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a man running from the area.
