Presented by The Disability Trust alongside Merringong Theatre Company, the production I Helen, I Hercules showcases the work of 15 emerging actors with a disability.
"It's a story about all of these people with disabilities projecting who they would like to be, who they look up to, who influences them," Alix Risi of The Disability Trust said.
"It comes to a close and it's kind of a realisation that they don't have to be these people, they can just be themselves and in themselves they are inspirational and they're influential."
The show's director Anne-Louise Rentell believes it's the group's eclectic range of interests that makes the show fun.
"Everyone gets to play someone interesting and a lot of the time they're people that have inspired them or that they look up to. They might be a comedian, they might be wrestlers, actors, boy bands ... ," she said.
Mrs Rentell worked closely with the actors to ensure they played an integral role in their character's development.
"Once you start working in a more collaborative way, it just sort of opens people up a lot more and they realise that they can do that, too," she said. "Suddenly I've got 15 aspiring actors on my hands so it works well."
The show begins on Thursday and 18-year-old Christian Tagliaferro plays the role of King Henry V, Prince Charming and a member of One Direction.
"It's been really good," Christian said.
