Fireworks will once again crackle over Wollongong Harbour this New Year’s Eve, with festivities to include amusement park rides, entertainment from the City of Wollongong Brass Band, and food stalls.

On Friday, the council announced its end-of-year celebrations, which will start from 6pm around the foreshore.
The fireworks, sponsored by Illawarra real estate agent Ray White, will kick off at 9pm.
Parts of Cliff Drive and Harbour Street will be closed from 5pm and the council recommends New Year’s revellers travel by public transport and the Gong Shuttle Bus.
