The Illawarra Grammar School student achieved scores of 90 or more in 10 subject units during her HSC.

She said her marks weren't the result of a regimented study timetable or drastic cramming sessions.

"You need to study hard from day one; I worked consistently throughout the year, I didn't have a planner, I just made a list and worked through what I had to do," she said.

"My advice is to make a list of things you can do and things you need to work on earlier in the year and work through them."

Along with thousands of others, she was eagerly awaiting her results on Wednesday morning when HSC subject results were released at 6am online and through text.

"I didn't have many expectations before I got them but I'm happy," she said.

She hoped her academic endeavour secured her a place in medicine or medical science.

"I'd go to any university in Australia to study medicine," she said.

Fellow TIGS student Nikhil Verma has similar medical aspirations.

"I had an interview at James Cook University to do medicine," he said

His fellow high-achieving maths students, Issac Brown and Alex Marzano shared a less conventional career goal.

"Early retirement, preferably by 42," laughed Isaac.

"Just having a big enough assets base to cover all my expenses by age 30 would be good," said Alex.

Isaac hopes to study law and international relations at the Australian National University. Alex hopes to pursue a business degree at the University of NSW.

Aside from studying to orchestral music and getting familiar with the syllabus, the boys offered one last piece of crucial advice.

"You need to find a TV series to get you through, we had House of Cards and Suits," Alex said.
