A Wollongong Police spokesman said police initiated the pursuit in Towradgi at 5.30am after observing a vehicle being driven dangerously.

The pursuit was discontinued at Tarrawanna after the vehicle sped through a red light.

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman at her Balgownie home 20 minutes later. She was charged with traffic offences and will appear before Port Kembla Local Court at a later date.
