Talented Illawarra junior Emma Coughlan-Ryan and her Sydney grade teammates will host a Milo In2Cricket Day and training session at Wests Illawarra Cricket Club early next month.
Wests junior Coughlan-Ryan plays for the Sydney Tigers in the Sydney women's grade competition, which includes many of the stars of Australian women's cricket.
Eighteen-year-old Coughlan-Ryan has been appointed the Tigers' second grade captain this season and, along with many of her Tigers teammates, will run a clinic to support Illawarra junior cricket.
Coughlan-Ryan comes from good cricket pedigree and is related to England international all-rounder Jenny Gunn, who played a season at the Tigers.
The Tigers players will help in coaching at the Milo In2Cricket clinic from 9-10am on Saturday, January 17 followed by running an open session for older girls from 10am. The Sydney Tigers want to form a partnership with Wests Illawarra Cricket Club to help both clubs.
A Sydney women's first grade match involving the Tigers stars will be held in Wollongong next season.
The Tigers first grade men's team are hoping to play a trial game against Wests Illawarra in the lead-up to next season.
Girls aged 10-20 can register for the open session on January 17 by contacting Steven Ryan at Wests CC on 0423 374458.
