Holiday traffic has yet again caused havoc on the north coast and out of Sydney, with drivers experiencing delays of up to 60 minutes and 15-kilometre traffic jams.

Northbound traffic on the M1 was this identified as heavy on Saturday afternoon, while the M2, Great Western Highway and roads around Sydney's CBD are faring much better than they were around midday.
Further north, the Pacific Highway in both directions is almost at a standstill; travellers approaching Sancrox, near Port Macquarie, are stuck in a 15-kilometre queue that is expected to delay their journeys by an hour.
There are 10-kilometre queues around Macksville, while traffic was backed up 12 kilometres on the Pacific Highway approaching Woodburn, but has now been reduced to 9km of bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Frustrated driver Dan Mullan, who is travelling with his girlfriend up to Woodford folk festival, described the traffic as "mental".
"I could go to the [toilet], go back to the car, then do another one, and we still wouldn't have moved an inch."
He expects their journey to be delayed by at least several hours. "Macksville has been the worst so far," he said.
South of Sydney, Princes Highway traffic is moving at a snail's pace at hotspots between Wollongong and Nowra, and further south at Milton. Drivers approaching Berry are advised to give themselves an extra 50 minutes of travelling time to reach their destination.

It is the second day in a row traffic has been congested on major roads as Sydneysiders attempt to flee the city for holiday destinations.
As of 7pm, the roads experiencing the heaviest delays were:
NSW Northern:
- Nelson Bay Rd at Port Stevens Drive - Heavy traffic in both directions around Anna Bay.
- Pacific Highway - northbound approaching Sancrox (near Port Macquarie) 15km queue / 60 mins additional travel time.
- Pacific Highway - northbound approaching Kundabung (south of Kempsey) - 10km queue.
- Pacific Highway - northbound approaching Macksville - 8km queue / 20 mins additional travel time.
- Pacific Highway - northbound approaching Woodburn - 3km queue / 15 mins additional travel time.
NSW Southern:
- Kings Highway - eastbound approaching Batemans Bay - 5km queue / 20 mins additional travel time.
