Beaches and pools were busy as plenty of people chose to make the most of the sunshine before their holidays ended.
Temperatures hit the mid-20s, with Albion Park recording a maximum of 27.7 degrees at 11.58am and Bellambi 25.6 degrees at 10.44am.
Tuesday looks set to be another beach day with clear skies predicted from 6am to 6pm, and top temperatures in the mid to high 20s.
However, for New Year's Eve, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a high of 22 degrees and the possibility of showers.
Showers are possible through to Sunday, but we can also expect warmer - possibly muggy - weather, with temperatures tipped to reach 27 degrees.
