The top three clubs had contrasting wins, while Balgownie leapfrogged Port Kembla into fourth following sweltering round-eight one-dayers in Illawarra cricket last Saturday.
Helensburgh openers Mitch McCrae (86) and Chris Lewis (66 not out) put on 142 for a nine-wicket win over premiers Keira.
The last-placed Lions batted well, making 7-208, led by Doug Murphy's 77, but were gunned down by McCrae, Lewis and Nathan Marciante (38no).
Second-placed Corrimal (5-172) made it four straight wins with a five-wicket victory over Port Kembla (8-171) at King George Oval.
Port recovered from 4-30 with teenager Aaryn Kornberger (63) and Matt Skora (52) saving the innings.
Corrimal spinner Xavier McDevitt took 4-36, with his brother Tom making 48, plus Rob Fisher (45) in a convincing win.
Balgownie leapfrogged Port into fourth spot with a 170-run home belting of Wests Illawarra.
Bally skipper Corbin Brown (58) dominated and Maciu Gauna made 46 as the home side posted 8-246.
Wests were rolled for just 76 with Dean Merola turning back the clock with 6-19.
Wests were 9-28 heading for a record low score before David Potts made an unbeaten 34.
"It's a big win for us, putting us back in the top four. Now we have to keep winning and stay there," said Brown.
Third-placed University recovered from a batting collapse to beat Wollongong by 23 runs in a low-scoring game at Uni Oval.
The Students were 0-75 off 12 overs, but from 2-121 lost 5-11 and were bowled out for 164.
Openers James Chappell (43) and Andrew Page (37) top scored, while Steve Hancox had 5-27 off 10 overs for Wollongong.
From 2-56 Wollongong collapsed to be dismissed for 141. Sameer Murthy (30) top scored, while Vijay Karthik (4-37) and Rhys Voysey (3-25) turned the game with the ball.
Finally, Dapto skipper Dale Scifleet made an unbeaten 99 and Troy Gasseling 76 to lead Dapto (3-245) to a strong home win over Northern Districts (168).
"It's a win we really needed and we've got to get on a roll from here," said Scifleet, with Dapto in sixth spot with five rounds remaining.
"The key for us is being consistent and if we can do that then we can still push for the semis."
