An elderly lady has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in the Southern Highlands.

A police spokesperson said at around 12.15pm on Wednesday police were called to Moss Vale, after a woman was struck by a car while crossing Argyle Street.
The woman, aged in her 60s, suffered serious injuries and has been airlifted to Liverpool Hospital.
The driver of the car, a woman believed to be aged in her 60s, was not injured but has been taken to Moss Vale Police Station where she is assisting police with their inquiries.
Argyle Street was closed for approximately one hour following the incident but has since re-opened.
