Police have charged a man after an alleged domestic-related assault in Nowra on the weekend.

About 12.30pm on Saturday 31 January 2015, a man and woman, known to each other, had an argument on Kalandar Street.
The man, aged 20, allegedly assaulted the woman and pushed her into a street sign pole.
Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command were later alerted to the incident and following investigations, arrested the man at 3.30pm today (Sunday 1 February 2015).
The woman, aged 21, had bruising to her ribs, back and wrist.
The man was taken to Nowra Police Station and was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was formally refused bail to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday 2 February 2015.
