The much-anticipated episode was filmed during a visit to the furniture maker’s upholstery site in November last year.
Filming of each episode of the popular series is shrouded in secrecy with participants, including the Jimmy Possum team, signing confidentiality agreements with show producers.
While the business team remains tight-lipped about the episode, Channel Nine reports many of the family was involved in the challenge episode that has contestants making an item out of timber and colourful fabrics.
An appearance on the popular series, which first screened 12 years ago, offers national exposure for participating brands with each episode regularly smashing TV ratings and scoring Nine millions in advertising revenue.
The economic benefits also flow on to the cities, suppliers and makers of the products and brand partners featured in each episode. Jimmy Possum’s products also feature in The Block Shop.
Margot and Alan Spalding started the Jimmy Possum business in Bendigo 20 years ago with most of their seven children and extended family employed in key roles.
It has become one of Australia’s success stories in running a family business and recently announced it will start to export its furniture products with focus on the Asian and European markets.
Jimmy Possum CEO Boris Bielert said the family would watch the episode on Tuesday and thought it was interesting to see how the show was filmed.
Filming of the episode brought three of the show’s crew back to Bendigo: producer Anna Scarf and cameramen Nigel Rungen and Rob Buckell.
"I actually grew up in the same street as the Spaldings," Ms Scarf told the Bendigo Advertiser during filming. “So that’s a nice connection that's come back."
Jimmy Possum on The Block Triple Threat screens on Channel Nine on Tuesday February 24 at 7.30pm.
