"When it comes to big shiny floor shows it doesn't get any better than The Voice and I'm looking forward to being front and centre co-hosting with my new buddy Darren," Kruger said.

The Nine Network said The Voice will be expanding the hosting activities across all phases of the show this year.

Both Kruger and McMullen will chat to artists backstage and support them through their "journeys" during the blind auditions. They will also share duties on celebrating and commiserating with artists' family and friends, a feature of the program.

They will front the show during the the battle rounds and live shows.

"Looking forward to a beefed up hosting role on The Voice this season and having Sonia join me as my partner in crime," Mr McMullen said.

"Can't wait to meet Jessie J, she looks like she will be a right laugh!"

British pop star Jessie J is another new addition to the show - the international superstar will join Ricky Martin, Joel and Benji Madden and Delta Goodrem in the coaching panel.

Kruger will also be celebrating new motherhood when she joins the show for its fourth season. She recently gave birth to a baby girl, Maggie, at the age of 49.

Kruger is also the co-host of Nine's Mornings with David Campbell.

Production for the The Voice 2015 will commence this week and it will premiere later in 2015.
