Wes Falconer skipped his Towradgi Park team to six victories on grass and on carpet to clinch the Illawarra Fours Championship at Warilla Bowling Club.
Falconer and partners Dave Roberts (lead), Dale Samaha (second) and third Anthony Jones beat Woonona's Chris McLay 26-10 in Saturday's final moved to the indoor facility due to rain.
McLay and partners Barry Martin (sub), and new recruits James Berriman and Simon McGovern beat Greg Thurling 22-6 in their semi-final after Thurling caused an upset in knocking out defending champion Warilla in the quarter-finals.
Falconer had no easy draw and beat former NSW star Shane Garvey and his Wiseman Park team 22-18 in an excellent semi-final.
Falconer won the Zone 16 Champion of Club Champion Singles in 2014 and over the past couple of years has been a contender in several team championship events.
The Towradgi bowls co-ordinator skipped his side to a 24-9 victory over Mick Duprez (Albion Park) in round one.
Wins followed over Dapto Citizens' Peter Thelan (17-16), Woonona's Warren Hamilton (26-14), and Windang's Paul Webb (20-17) in the quarter-finals.
McLay and partners' run to the final began with a 25-12 win over Warilla's Tony Sekuloski.
This was followed by a 20-6 victory over Fairy Meadow's Gordon Lester 20-6 and 21-18 win over Oak Flats' Paul Woods in their quarter-final.
Towradgi BC now join the Illawarra Triples champion Warilla team of Jeremy Henry, Wayne Crane and Jamie Mitchell in representing Zone 16 at the State Championship Finals later this year.
The other Zone 16 championship events for 2015 will be played after the pennant season which commences in seven grades on Saturday.
