Why did you apply for an IAS scholarship?

To improve my cycling skills and ability to progress further in cycling in the hope to one day ride for a professional team.

Who's your favourite professional athlete and why?

My favourite athlete is professional cyclist Jen Voigt. I admire him because of his tireless work ethic. His best quote is testament to his work ethic, "shut up legs".

If you weren't playing this sport what would you be doing and why?

If I was not competing in cycling I would be playing soccer, as I enjoy the team aspects of the game.

How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

Easy-going and friendly.

What are your plans beyond school?

After school I hope to pursue a career as a professional cyclist. If I was not able to do that I would love to work in robotics.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

It would have to be Paris.

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy listening to music, playing the PlayStation and riding my skateboard.

What is your favourite subject at school?

Science.

What is your greatest achievement in your sport so far?

The best was finishing third in the general classification for the Telstra Tour of Sydney in 2014 after less than two years in the sport.

When did you start playing your sport and how did you get started?

I started cycling in 2012. After watching my dad compete in races I decided to give it a go. I initially started with track cycling and now compete in both road and track events.
