The boys, aged nine and 13, were bushwalking with family in dense bushland on Green Valley Rd, Beaumont, shortly after noon when they slipped about four to five metres down a ledge.
A family member climbed down and helped rescue the youngest. However, the rescuer and his 13-year-old nephew then became stuck above a drop of around 30m.
Paramedics from Ambulance Rescue quickly abseiled to their ledge and ensured they weren’t injured.
Together, they abseiled down to the bottom of the cliff and were eventually reunited with family.
Paramedics from Bomaderry Station and the crew from Rescue Helicopter were also at the scene.
Both children and the uncle are uninjured.
