A group of about 60 people gathered with their mats to take part in a one-hour class run by Kiama Downs-based yoga practitioner Temple Russell, of Yoga Temple.
Ms Temple took the group through a series of relaxing exercises and traditional yoga poses such as the crow and the eagle.
Ms Temple donated her time and expertise, and helped spread the goodwill, to raise money for her friend Sandra Kay, who is participating in The Ride To Conquer Cancer in October.
In 2015, money raised from the two-day bike event will go to the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, a cancer treatment and research facility which provides care and support services to public and private patients.
In addition to the yoga session, the fundraising morning was also supported by the Pines Surfing Academy, which provided paddle boards for participants, and breakfast was supplied by Roo Guthrie’s I Feel Good business.
The yoga class culminated in a group meditation in which Matt Russell played guitar.
