The company told the Australian Stock Exchange on Thursday that it had "progressed to the next stage of documentation" with the Barangaroo Delivery Authority and Crown Limited.
The announcement said Lend Lease "will now proceed with the lodgement of Modification 8," which relocates the hotel from its approved site over the harbour back onto land.
Crown Resorts chief executive Rowen Craigie welcomed the announcement as "an important step in the development of the Barangaroo South precinct and our six-star hotel resort".
"Crown will now begin its own planning application processes with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment," Mr Craigie said.
