The Comensolis have lived at 86 New Mount Pleasant Road for the past decade but are downsizing now their three adult children have left home.
Mr Comensoli said the four-bedroom home, which they bought from Wollongong interior designer Ruth Hannaford in 2004, had been great for family life.
The home has Ms Hannaford's distinct interior look: high ceilings, designer lighting and polished timber floors.
Set on a 1069-square-metre block, the home has multiple living and entertainment spaces, including a billiard room and media area.
"We've got a great family dining room which opens out to an outdoor deck, which has been fantastic for parties," Mr Comensoli said.
"Our children have had 21st birthday parties in which we have catered for 100 people, and the scale of the property has allowed us to do that," he said.
Other entertaining features include an in-ground solar-heated pool and paved area in a north-facing yard.
Double bedrooms with built-ins and an oversized master bedroom with en suite and private balcony provide plenty of space for family.
"It gave the kids space to study when they were younger, and that was important to us," he said.
The home backs on to Bill Madden Park and is surrounded by mature trees.
"It has a beautiful outlook with the bush and landscaped gardens," Mr Comensoli said.
Listed with Darren Kay and Nicole Kay, of Belle Property Wollongong, the home has a generous-sized lounge and dining rooms which adjoin a fully equipped kitchen with stone benches and gas appliances.
There is two-car garaging with internal access.
The home is open for inspection on Saturday from 12.30pm to 1.15pm. It will go to auction on Friday, March 27, at 6pm.
