The event was hosted by Careers Central at the University of Wollongong and those in attendance gained an insight into resilience and positivity within Customer Contact Centres and the benefits to staff and business productivity.
It was also an opportunity to hear from co-founder and a director of Wellness First International Camille de Picot.

A key message at the event was that in an industry where the only constant is change, and retaining and developing staff is essential to the success of any business, best practice organisations and their Customer Contact Centres were placing increased focus and attention on their staffs wellbeing, and reaping the benefits.
Auscontact Association’s Illawarra representative Tory Macri, of Peoplecare, said the event attracted delegates from a dozen local contact centres and demonstrated the passion, innovativeness and commitment of the local industry and their organisations in maintaining a competitive edge and focus on industry best practice trends.
‘‘There was no doubt the topic Resilience and Positivity resonated with local industry and the benefits our region has to offer,’’ he said.
The next Auscontact event is focused on Service in Human Centre Design and is planned for May.
