The two large panels of acrylic on aluminium were inspired by the changing urban landscape of Wollongong and explore the relationship between the physical environment and the spiritual.
"The idea is dreaming of our city," Ms Seresin said.
"The pavers, the ground we walk on. The figures, male/female acknowledge our community/humanity.
"We are called to be in conversation with each other with our dreaming. To care, to create, to listen and look.
"We exist in a natural world but within our man-made city.
"A message perhaps is to acknowledge the elemental creatures guiding us to dare to envision a place that nourishes and inspires us."
The IWD exhibition, staged at Project Contemporary Artspace, has been an annual event in Wollongong for several years.
This year's exhibition has been curated by artist Sue Bessell, with the theme "Women: Equality: Art".
Artist Moira Kirkwood, who is part of the exhibition, said the theme was a relevant catchcry with recent news showing the continued gender inequity in pay rates in Australia.
"This exhibition is about taking the opportunity to come together as women artists and enjoy the creation of beautiful and powerful works," she said.
"It's something everyone, of whatever gender, can come and celebrate."
Other artists with work in the IWD exhibition are Sue Smalkowski, Kathryn Orton, Tania Maria Mastroianni, Geraldine Lefoe, Tracy Johnston, Liz Jeneid, Jennifer Jackson, Lesley Goldacre, Jack Draper, Alannah Dreise, Dulcie Dal Molin, Judy Bourke, and Joni Braham.
