At the Sigma Retail Gala Awards on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night, Sarah Burton was named Amcal Max store business manager of the year and the pharmacy won the prestigious Amcal Max pharmacy of the year award.
The annual awards are part of the three-day Amcal and Guardian Retail Conference.
Ms Burton and Amcal Max Dapto's success was attributed to the hard-working, experienced and dedicated staff who set the standard for delivering the best customer service, community interaction, and overall consistent health services to people in the Dapto area.
Ms Burton put the awards down to the team.
"I think it shows through our workplace that we work positively and productively," she said.
"All team members encourage and support one another, as well as engage in their work and customers, creating respectful and reciprocal relationships.
"Training and experience personalise our relationships [gaining] respect, trust, and confidence for us in the community."
The latest success follows Amcal Max Dapto being named NSW pharmacy of the year at the Sigma State Pharmacy Awards in Sydney, for the second year running.
It was also a double celebration with Ms Burton as Amcal Max's NSW business retail manager of the year.
Partners Peter Abba, Anne McQueen and Andrew Bartlett were delighted with both results, describing them as being made possible by a loyal and dedicated staff of about 30 people.
