Hundreds of mostly year 5 and 6 boys from the region's state public schools took part in initial trials at their schools before eight teams competed for spots in the South Coast squad.
The talented players at the Berkeley trials played three games before a Possibles versus Probables match.
Berkeley Public School teacher and South Coast coach Jim Williams was impressed with the quality at the trial day.
"There's a couple of kids back from last year and overall it's a talented squad," he said.
Many of the boys play junior rep basketball on the South Coast including the Illawarra rep under 12s and 14s teams.
The South Coast team will take on some of the state's best basketball school teams at the NSW PSSA State Championships in Wollongong to be held from April 28-30.
The 10-player squad before reserves were added is: Freddie Fallows (Waniora PS), Fletcher MacDonald (Keiraville PS), Jye Carney (Goulburn West), Jayden Wright (Mt Terry PS), Baylan Granger (Woonona PS), Cooper Treglown (Woonona PS), Tupou Latu (Queanbeyan PS), Caden Spinks (Jerrabomberra PS), Alexei Piljevic (Coniston PS), Andrew Smylie (Dapto PS).
