Mr Jones, of Edmiston Jones, was keen to enhance Wollongong's cultural diversity with the first of what he plans to make a regular event.
It took the form of a small acoustic concert in the Edmiston Jones conference room and courtyard.
It featured Miriam Lieberman who was accompanied by cellist Kate Adams and percussionist Syd Greene.
All three had previously performed at a concert Mr Jones has become famous for hosting at his Shoalhaven home. Invited guests from the Wollongong business community each gave a donation to thank the musicians for their time and to help them follow their passion.
Target reached
Wollongong games developer Nathan Harper has reached his funding goal and will start manufacturing fridge magnets soon after launching an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign in early March.
It comes after Mr Harper generated more than 200,000 downloads for his mobile race management game called Formula Legend.
And his novel way to help gamers and F1 fans stay on track using a specially designed fridge magnet is also a hit.
Family fund-raiser
Wiseman's Park Bowling Club is the location this weekend for an event to raise money for and awareness about the plight of the Ciot and Rowles families who are battling a bad health diagnosis for Jenny Rowles whose brother Mark Rowles, 58, of Gwynneville, has been missing since early this year.
Mr Rowles suffers from a medical condition for which he takes medication that can cause hallucinations.
He was last seen at a family barbecue on February 8.
At the time he was wearing a black T-shirt, denim shorts, and sandals.
He is 170 centimetres tall with fair complexion and balding brown/grey hair.
His sister has successfully battled Lymphoma but now faces another hurdle with her recent diagnosis of Castleman's disease.
The fund-raiser at Wiseman's Park is to help the family deal with the costs of ongoing medical treatment while still waiting for news about Mr Rowles.
