The top of the table Dragons were thumped 36-6 by Balmain in SG Ball, while the Steelers were beaten 26-14 by the Newcastle Knights.

The Steelers are away to Cronulla in Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball on Saturday, while St George host Manly in both junior competitions.
The under 18s SG Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup are elite junior NSWRL competitions featuring 17 teams and played over nine rounds before finals.
